13 ALS to D. J. Miller regarding surveys done in California. Several letters contain survey instructions from the U.S. Surveyor General for California, Theo. Wagner; the Indian Agent at the Mission Indian Agency, John G. McCallum; and several letters from William Minto, in which he also requests that Miller make a deposition to the manner in which they surveyed the Mission Indian Reservations. Four depositions accompany the collection, as do four printed items regarding pension vouchers accompanying a letter from a pension agent.
